Surrounding:
We are situated on the main square where, during the summer months
every sunday a small "Marche de Provence" will take
place.

On
the same square "jeu de boules" is of course
played passionatly. On out terrace on the square we invite
you for a glass of cool white wine and a nice diner. Around
11 o'clock in the evening the happenings end and the village
turns to sleep.

Les
payes du Buêch:
This area that links the fore-Alps with the Provence is marked
already for ages by the river Buech with its numerous affluents.
Mountain peaks strongly contrast with the deep blue air.

The Buech region is situated at an altitude running from
480 to 2700 meters and takes its charm from the snow covered
mountains in the North and the fruit orchards, olive trees
and lavender fields in the south. Since ancient times people
have always lived in this fertile valley. |
The region offers
many churches, convents, villages on hilltops and castles built
on rocks. The unique location of Rosansmakes the village an ideal
starting point for many different trips.
Cities:
For the lovers of towns and villages there is a lot to enjoy
within an area of a 100 kilometers around Rosans: e.g. Sisteron
with its splendid Citadel. Vaison-la Romaine, wellknown for
its beautiful terraces, big weekly market and finally its antiquities.
During the winter you will find Super-Devoluy at 45 minutes
by car from Rosans; a real marvellous place with all the facilities
for pleasant family winter holidays.
Villages:
In many of the surrounding villages you can discover ceramists,
weavers, painters and other traditional craftsmen. Beautiful
art and other handmade objects will seduce you to buy such as
pottery, perfumes of lavender, olive oil, wooden toys, leaded
window panels and sun-dials. Sometimes it seems as if time has
stopped.
